Faith Inc. is a provoking, high-concept thriller based on facts and European events, both recent and ancient. It can be described as the ”X-files” with a touch of ”Prime Suspect” and ”24” meet Umberto Ecco´s ”In the name of the Rose”.
Faith Inc. revolves around Christianity and the Vatican, but faith is the least important in this story. Instead, it’s a fascinating behind-the-scenes what-if story of one of the world’s major religions.
With information and inspiration from a wide variety of sources; from strictly personal sources, biblical events and myths of the earliest kings of Europe, through the era of the Knights Templar and the doomed Cathars, the Nazi ratlines made possible by the Vatican after World War II and the Propaganda Due/Banco Ambrosiano scandal of the seventies and eighties, to the present rise to power by controversial Catholic organisations; emerge a frightening story of corruption and power.
In part the story is a roadmovie through the heartland of Europe, as well as a roadmovie through its more thrilling history and current affairs.
The story is written as a 8 part miniseries (one hrs commercial TV standard per episode). But it can also be reworked to either a standard 22 part TV-series or shortened to a feature film.
In the vortex stands a young man who has been fiercely guarded his whole life – but never told why. His guards are the Knights Templar, who 800 years ago claimed to guard the family of Jesus – and still are.
After yet another attempt on his life, our young hero escapes his guardians to find the truth about the secrets surrounding him. In a journey through the modern cities and ancient heartlands of Europe, his escape ruptures the power balance of the world.
Because as the direct descendant of Jesus he may have the genetic key to unlock the greatest power of all. And they will do anything to stop him.
